It does not lie flat and there is a another version by the same manufacturer which folds flat. However I knew that in advance and this came highly recommended and was a couple of dollars cheaper. It works for me.Good deal for the money. Nice and sturdy. I would buy again.Great product. You can charge your phone while it’s propped up with ease.I got this as I'm using video calls to keep in contact with friends during 2020 lockdown. It's become an essential piece of equipment rather than precariously balancing my phone or enduring a sore wrist. I'd thoroughly recommend this product as easy to use, it holds my 15.5 cm X 7.5 cm phone beautifully. The base is sturdy and has nonslip points to hold both base and phone in place. It folds up and would be really portable for travel.I'm planning to buy more from this maker as presents for friends.I like the seamless adjustability, the soft rubber contact point (both between the stand and the phone and the stand and the table) and the fact that spares are included in the box.I use it for a Kindle Keyboard, which fits really well, however the Kindle is quite a bit bigger than the average phone so raises the centre of gravity and makes the stand feel a little unstable. THIS IS NOT WHAT THE STAND WAS DESIGNED FOR, SO I AM HAPPY ENOUGH.The stand is nicely painted/anodised and the grey colour goes well with the Kindle.The stand is very good, except for one thing... If you have a larger phone; I have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro - then you are in danger of tipping the whole stand backwards is you tap the phone's screen anywhere in the top half.Larger phones make the stand top-heavy...Small/medium sized phones are fine. Just the larger ones may be a problem.It's great! Very high material quality and the design is neat. They even give you an extra set of pads so you're likely going to be able to use this for many years to come. If you want to use a tablet with it (iPad 11" in my case), it's doable. You just won't have a big choice of angles as it will topple over if you swivel it too much. It's good enough for watching some content when eating though.Recommend getting one for your phone for your desk or kitchen table!
